Henry Maurice Sheffer

Henry Maurice Sheffer, an American logician born at Ukraine in year 1882. Henry M. Sheffer was a Polish Jew, who migrated to the USA in year 1892 with his parents. Before higher studies Sheffer studied at Boston Latin School. For higher studies, he took admission in Harvard University and learned logics from Josiah Royce. He completed his undergraduate and master’s degree in year 1905 & 1907. After that he did Ph.D. in Philosophy in year 1908 and then travelled on a fellowship program to Europe. After returning to USA, he spent one year each at City College of New York, University of Misouri, University of Minesota, University of Washington, and University of Cornel as an academic nomad. In year 1916, Sheffer recruited at Harvard University as a faculty member of philosophy department. He worked at Harvard University for 36 Years and got retirement in 1952.

Hatf IV ballistic missile Successfully Tested By Pakistan

Islamabad: On wednesday Pakistan successfully tested Hatf IV (Shaheen 1A) ballistic missile, which is intermediate range ballistic missile with the capability nuclear warhead.
According to the ISPR, it is an upgraded version of "Shaheen 1" Missile with long range.
Exact range of missile was not provided by the military."It would be able to hit the target in the range between 2,500 to 3,000Km" said by the defense analyst,General (R) Talat Masood.

Nobel Prize Expected to Be Announced In The 2nd Week Of October

The Noble Prizes for the year 2012 is scheduled to be announced in between October 8-15, said by the Noble Foundation on Wednesday. Bill Clinton, Helmet Kohl, The European Union and WikiLeaks suspects Bradly Manning are in the race for peace prizes.

The Peace Prize, the most popular and prestigious award, will be announced by the Norwegian Nobel Committee on October 12 in Oslo.The nominations are kept secret, but those who submit the nominations can disclose their choice.

Achievement of Pakistani Student in US Space Contest

The contest which helds at the name of "US Space contest", have won by the Pakistani student. The name of the student is Muhammad Nafeel Irfan, who is the student of Aitchison College Lahore. Basically the contest is related to the arts in which more than 1500 student participated across the world.
