Nobel Prize Expected to Be Announced In The 2nd Week Of October


The Noble Prizes for the year 2012 is scheduled to be announced in between October 8-15, said by the Noble Foundation on Wednesday. Bill Clinton, Helmet Kohl, The European Union and WikiLeaks suspects Bradly Manning are in the race for peace prizes.

The Peace Prize, the most popular and prestigious award, will be announced by the Norwegian Nobel Committee on October 12 in Oslo.The nominations are kept secret, but those who submit the nominations can disclose their choice.
This year peace prize list is comprise the names of 231 organisations and individual, where as last year record 241 nominations were submitted, when the award as split between Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Liberian activist Leymah Gbowee and Yemeni “Arab Spring” activist Tawakkol Karman.

According to the sources, the people nominated this year's honour are for German chancellor Helmut Kohl, former us president Bill Clinton and Ukranian jailed opposition leader (ex premier) leader Yulia Tymoshenko.Also on the nomination list is the jailed us soldier Bradley Manning, who has been charged for turning over the classified US documents to wikileaks.

The EU despite its financial crises is also in the nomination,  as are doctor Denis Mukwege of Congo, Cuban dissidents Oswaldo Paya and Yoani Sanchez, and Russian rights group Memorial and its founder Svetlana Gannushkina.

The season will start with the announcement of the prize for medicine or physiology on October 8 in Stockholm, to be followed by the physics prize on October 9, the chemistry prize on October 10 while the prize for economics on October 15. Literature award traditionally awarded later by Swedish Academy.The prize money for each discipline is 10 million Swedish Kronor($ 1.47 million).
