RISAT-1 Spy Satellite Successfully launches by India


Sriharikota,India:On Thursday Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) successfully launches its Radar Imaging Spy Satellite named "RISAT-1" into the orbit.The Satellite lifted on Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) takes off from Sriharikota Spaceport Andra Pradesh.

The satellite have the ability to view at day and night time, cloud cover doesn't affect on it and will orbit the Earth 14 times in a day.It will help India for continuous surveillance, crop monitoring and flood forecasting.

Critical Environmental Satellite Link Goes Down



Frascati, Italy: A critical Earth Environment observing satellite have lost the contact with its controllers.Sources saying that there are minor chances to restore the contact with satellite.The new satellite for the replacement needs more than one year, which is very significant gap for the scientist to collect data.

Discovery Space Shuttle Takes Off For The Final Time



Today (April 17) Discovery Space Shuttle takes off from Florida for the final time in the sky,but not with its own power engines.Retired shuttle placed on the top of  modified Boeing 747 jet(Shuttle Carrier Craft) with the help of cranes to fly for Virginia, which after placed for peoples show in the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum.After the completion of current schedule, the Discovery Space Shuttle will delivered to the Smithsonian for its permanent display.

Achievement of Pakistani Student in US Space Contest

The contest which helds at the name of "US Space contest", have won by the Pakistani student. The name of the student is Muhammad Nafeel Irfan, who is the student of Aitchison College Lahore. Basically the contest is related to the arts in which more than 1500 student participated across the world.
