Sriharikota,India:On Thursday Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) successfully launches its Radar Imaging Spy Satellite named "RISAT-1" into the orbit.The Satellite lifted on Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) takes off from Sriharikota Spaceport Andra Pradesh.
The satellite have the ability to view at day and night time, cloud cover doesn't affect on it and will orbit the Earth 14 times in a day.It will help India for continuous surveillance, crop monitoring and flood forecasting.
It is India's most expensive mission with the total cost of about indian Rs.500 crores. ISRO took 10 years to make this satellite.The mission life of satellite is 5 years.
