Energy Saving Bulb Invention With 20 Years Lifespan



The most energy efficient light bulb is launched by the US government with the lifespan of 20 years, but the cost is high which is $60.The bulb was developed to replace incandescent bulb to save the energy.

The bulb was first seen when after the congress launched the $10-million Prize competition in 2007.Only Dutch manufacturer Philips entered in the contest and declared as winner.


The bulb will go on sale at outlets on Sunday.The bulb only consumes 10 watts of energy.
Initially Philips offers discount rate, which is $50 for consumers.Further discount is available on deal with electric utilities as much as $20 to $30.It means that the cost of the bulb anywhere from $20 to $60.
